He was predeceased by: his parents, John Field and Sarah Wendover Black, Sr.; his wife Joan Peters; and his siblings, Flora Cramphin, Laura Roher, Marjorie Verkest and William Black.
He is survived by: his children, Susan Black (Mark Catello) of Sylvan Beach, Sara Quenneville (Steve) of Camden, Steven Black (Tina) of Cicero and Scott Black (Lisa) of Grand Island, NY; his sister Kathy McCullough (Walter) of Florida; his grandchildren, Nicholas Cianfrocco, Jennifer Matwejic, Austin Quenneville (Sherie), Matthew Quenneville (Maryjane), Jordan Black, Sean Black, Casey Fredenberg, Alexandria Black, Izabella Black and Sophia Black; and his great grandchildren, Alex Brzuszkiewicz, Jacqueline, Ryker and Ivy Quenneville. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
