She was predeceased by: her parents, George Wicks and Ruth Hess Wicks; her daughter Laurie Levett; her grandchildren, Joey Smith and Amber Hughes; and her sisters, Jeanne Kokosenski (Anthony) and Carolyn Black (Henry).
She is survived by: her husband Robert B. Hughes; her children, Deborah Hughes of Las Vegas, NV, Roberta Smith of White Settlement, TX, Roxanne Hughes of Clay, Lisa Claflin (Robert) of Vernon Center and Robert Hughes (Lisa) of Vernon Center; and her grandchildren, Jason Hughes (Amber), Lawrence Brown (Teuila), Adreanna Levett, Tanya Roberts (David), Rebecca Smith, Jack Tweedy, Gabriel Tweedy, Courtney Claflin, Shane Claflin, Taylor Hughes and Cody Hughes. She is also survived by eleven great-grandchildren; and five nieces.
Memorial contributions may be made in Esther's memory to the Vernon Center Ladies Auxiliary, the Vernon Seniors, or the Humane Society.
