He was predeceased by: his siblings, Anne McGaw, Edward McGaw, Robert McGaw and Ronny McGaw; and his parents, Kenneth McGaw and Marjorie McGaw (Rayburn).

He is survived by: his close friend Martha Gibson of Ogdensburg, NY; his son Craig McGaw of Ogdensburg, NY; and his brother William McGaw of North Carolina. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
