Thornton, Jr. (Dawn) of Ogdensburg, NY and Angela Thornton of Ogdensburg, NY; his stepchildren, Randy Thompson (Nancy) of Heuvelton, NY, Camilla Bill (Timothy) of Heuvelton, NY, Carla Powers of Heuvelton, NY and Russell Thompson of Heuvelton, NY; his grandson Jefferson E. Thornton III; his sister Mary Ernestine Thornton Champlin; his parents, Jefferson Ernest and Mabel Thornton (Walker); and his wife Juanita M. Hitsman. He was also cherished by six grandchildren and nine great grandchildren and nieces, nephews and cousins.
