He was predeceased by: his mother Evelyn Sholette (Dumas); his sister Memory Morley (Henry); his sister-in-law Marie Sholette; and his father Lawrence S. Sholette. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Sholette of Ogdensburg, NY; his children, Colleen Sholette of Albany, NY, Memory Malley (Mike Sassone) of Victor, NY, Julie Hynes (Rob) of Irondequoit, NY and Douglas Sholette (Deanne) of Hilton, NY; his grandchildren, Rachel Waugh, Sierra Sellers, Kelley, Connor and Patrick Hynes; and his siblings, Loren Sholette of Ogdensburg and Elaine Pearce (David) of Edwards, CO. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
