He was predeceased by: his parents, Michael Granteed and Lucille Granteed (DeGelorm); and his sister Dolly. He is survived by: his wife Marianne Granteed (Sciancalepre); his children, Joseph Granteed, Jr., Michelle DeTota (Ronald) and Maura Secor; his grandchildren, Megan Rooney (John), Kelly Syron (Mark), Nicole Granteed, Mari, Veronica DeTota, Matthew and Isabella Secor; his great grandchildren, Eleanor, Jack Rooney and Martin Syron; his brother Michael Granteed, Jr.; his siblings-in-law, Ginger Granteed, Maureen Quirk and Bob Quirk; his close friends, Midge and Roy Hughes; his godchildren, Ronald Suatoni and Deanna Schlueter; his nieces, Adrienne Maret and Kristen Suatoni; and his nephew Michael Suatoni.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 2nd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Thomas J. Pirro Jr. Funeral Home (3401 Vickery Rd, Syracuse, NY 13212). A funeral service will be held on Monday, March 3rd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
