He is survived by: his wife Janet Benjamin Russell; his children, Nancy Russell, Sheila Russell (Terry Cobb), Marilyn Russell (Richard Boyd), Lincoln Russell (Dawn), Ray Hotaling (Diane), Lynn Edelman and Lisa Kornacki; his sister Margie Newton; his grandchildren, Brian Wacker, Elizabeth Wacker, Chad Russell, Jennifer Pardoe-Maines (Kevin), Todd Pardoe (Janette), Matthew Pardoe (Alycia), Lauren Boyd, William Russell, Danielle Russell, Katherine Lindemann, Kalen Lindemann, Elise Salsman (Michael), Britney Kornacki and Joseph Kornacki; his niece Renee' Broschart (Rob); and his nephew Ralph Newton (Jennifer).
