She was predeceased by: her parents, William VanSice and Helen Carl VanSice; her former husband Donald E. Hunt; her husband James Gowan; and her close friend Shelby.

She is survived by: her children, Kenneth Hunt (Nancy Baird) of Hendersonville, NC, Kevin Hunt (Saralene) of Ocala, FL, Kim Hill (Howard Young) of Rome, Kathy Moore (Brad) of Rome, Karl Hunt (Caroline) of Soddy Daisy, TN and Kelley (Jack Williams) of Endwell, NY.; her grandchildren, Joel Hunt (Cherie), Janelle Hunt-Howe, Brandi Brown, Carly (Max Simon), Curt (Morgan Creehan), Craig Moore (Danielle Stopper), Logan (Tatiana), Kameron, Kimberly Sowell (Brian Monk), Anna and Daniel Hunt; her brothers-in-law, Canon Barnabas Hunt (John) and Ronald Hunt (Jan); and her nieces, Renee Garrison, Francine Hunt-Nobles and Lesley Smith.

Memorial donations can be made in her name to the Woman's Auxiliary of the Nichols American Legion.
