He is survived by: his wife Sandy; his children, Kristin Kommer (James) of Newark, Richard "Rick" Boerman (Mary-Theresa) of Rochester, Brian Boerman (Keeley) of Lansing and Elise Comella (Tony) of Newark; his grandchildren, Brenna (Greg Curtis), Ryan (Kelly Eberle), Zack (Teagan Dolan), Bethany, Jerry, Jack of Iris, A. J. and Fisher; and his great grandchild Maeve.
