She was predeceased by: her father Frank Emmerich; her grandmother Catherine; her godmother Mary Krul; and her parents-in-law, Marilyn and Terry Kain.
She is survived by: her mother Marcia Emmerich (Wojciechowski); her husband Edward S. Kain; her children, Erin Deragon (Ben), Courtney Wheelock (Justin) and Ryan Kain; her granddaughter Madelynn Wheelock; her siblings, Frank Emmerich (Lauri), Michael Emmerich (Lori) and Melissa Christians (Ryan); her uncle Watson; and her granddaughter Maddie Mae. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
In lieu of flowers, remembrances in Mary's name may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
