She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Albert Miga and Genevieve Miga; her former husband Julian Swierczek; her husband John Piersma of Oriskany; her daughters, Jean Carman (Robert) of McGraw, NY and Sandra Swierczek of Cortland, NY; her grandchildren, Sarah Edwards (Chris) of Binghamton, NY, Renee (Anthony), Kasha Hayes (Chris) of Silver Spring, MD and Stefanie Costello (Marty) of Arlington, VA; her nephew Steven Hammond of Brookline, MA.; and her daughter Kathy Whorton. She was also cherished by seven great-grandchildren.
