It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Kjell Solaas of New Paltz, New York, who passed away on January 3, 2023, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Peder Solaas and Ragna Solaas (Maberg); his brother Stanley Solaas; his niece Lisa Haugen; his sister Petra McGrath; his brother-in-law Charles McGrath; his niece Kathleen; his son Kevin McGrath; and his brothers-in-law, Henry Andersen and Benny Hansen.

He is survived by: his wife Janet Solaas (Reme) of Ulster Park, NY; his children, Kenneth Solaas (Karen Mains) and Nancy (Mark Townley Flynn) of Bethlehem, NH; his grandson Matthew Solaas; his pet Murphy Solaas of Connelly, NY; his granddaughter Rebecca (Jeff Decker); his great grandchild Davis Decker of Connelly, NY; and his sisters, Jenny Hansen of Kristiansand Norway and Reidun Solaas of Largo Florida.
