He was predeceased by: his parents, Angel Mendez and Gregoria Mendez; his wife Marilynn; his son Daniel Mendez; his grandson Shane Mendez; and his great grandchildren, Wyett and Ava.
He is survived by: his siblings, Santo Mendez of Moca, PR and Glora Mendez of Bufalo, NY; and his children, Sandra Mendez (Julio Hernandez), Robert Mendez (Laurie), David Mendez (Janet), Michael Mendez and Mark Mendez (Dawn). He is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great granddaughter; many sister & brother in-laws, nieces, nephews, great and great-great nieces & nephews, cousins and friends.
