He was predeceased by: his siblings, Ramiz, Gani, Qemal and Zelfie. He is survived by: his spouse Sanije; his children, Mithat Gashi, Luan Gashi (Shukrie) of New City, Ilber Gashi (Vjollca) of Huntersville, Drita Nerguti (Haxhi) of Fairview, NJ and Anila Selmani (Tomorr) of Cresskill, NJ.; his grandchildren, Anisa, Visar, Suzanne, Adriana, Bekim, Arlind, Blerim, Erna, Arber, Lindita, Siera, Dardan and Merita; his great grandchildren, Drini, Blini, Riti and Muço; and his sibling Remzije Guri.
