It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Peter Joseph Girardi of Mount Vernon, New York, who passed away on July 28, 2022, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Girardi and Eloise Girardi (Boccardi); and his wife Jane Florence Girardi (Weldon). He is survived by: his children, Frank (Anne Mackenzie), Janet Knight (Bruce) and Jeanne Sottosanti (Steve); and his grandchildren, David, Jennifer, Brandon, Peter, Benjamin and Matthew. He is also survived by his eight great-grandchildren.
Peter has donated his body to the Virginia State Anatomical Program and requested that no services be held. Donations in his memory may be made to the Poquoson Public Library or Riverside Hospice.
