She was predeceased by: her parents, Edwin Nelson Sr. and Bertha Monell Nelson; and her brothers, Edwin Nelson Jr., Nels Nelson Sr., Raymond Nelson and Kurt Nelson.
She is survived by: her husband Tom; her children, Tommy Johnson, Maryann Ciardullo (Rich Ciardullo), Melanie Hasselbach, Lea Johnson (Jolvonte Monroe) and Jema Johnson (Dan Smith); her grandchildren, Kasey, Simon, Roman, Waverly, Willow, Kilyan, Ruary, Mallex, Daniel Jr., Mason and Jianna; and her sister Kay Hansen. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
