She was predeceased by: her husband Dr. Solan Chao; her parents, Rose Woo and Dr. Shutai T. Woo; and her siblings, Bobby, Ruthie and Patsy.

She is survived by: her daughters, Carolyn Jean (Michael) of Paramus and Patricia Chao of Middletown; and her grandchildren, James Solan, Cameron and Rayna. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
