He was predeceased by: his children, John Bender, III and Anna Catherine Bender. He is survived by: his parents, John Sr. and Anna Bender, Sr. (Wahl); his spouse Marion J. Bender (Schrom); his children, Dixie Palmer of Schenectady, Robin Rechnitzer of Saranac Lake and Douglas A. Bender of Middleburgh; his grandchildren, Heather Reiniger, Karen Rechnitzer and Alicia Rechnitzer; his great grandchild Mekynzie; and his siblings, Ronald Bender, Pricilla Falco, Terry Ann McGrath and Nancy Bender. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
