He was predeceased by: his parents, Freeman Mallard and Dorothy Mallard (Dye); and his siblings, Leonard, Carl Mallard, Bill O'Brien, Alfred Stone, Mary Jane Howard, Betty Wright and Mary Helen Mallard.
He is survived by: his wife Gilda Cardone Mallard; his daughter Amber Conway (Jake Powell); his grandchildren, Brady and Shaelyn Conway; and his brothers, Bobby Mallard (Wanda) and William Gazaway (Shelley).
