He was predeceased by: his parents, John L. Mix and Pearl Mix (Nolan); his former wife Patricia Mix; and his children, Merle "Randy" Mix and Michelle Mix.
He is survived by: his wife Karen Mix; his sons, Robert Mix Jr. of Lockport, NY and Barry Mix (Cheryl) of Middleport, NY; his stepchildren, Debra Parker of Medina, NY, Terri Simmons of Buffalo, NY and Ray Gilman of Alabama, NY; and his grandchildren, Robert Mix III, Tiffany Mix, Stephanie Sconiers, Steven Mix, Amber Neyes and Nicole Kuhn. He is also survived by several great- grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
