He is survived by: his wife Elaine A. Newton (Schneider); his children, Joseph M. Newton, Jr., Jonathan Newton (Becky), Jordyn Newton and Ayriel George (Roger); his grandchildren, Jacob, Jared, Jessica, Josephine, Jonathan Jr., Landyn and Myles; his stepsiblings, Darryl Schultz and Gerri Schultz; and his sister-in-law Dawn Newton. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the East Shelby Vol.
