She was predeceased by: her parents, Ricardo Leon and Josefa Casiano Prado; her husband Carl Newman; and her siblings, Reinaldo Leon, Ricardo Leon, Rueben Leon and Ruby Leon Lee.
She is survived by: her children, Quincy Newman (Fulvia), Heather Morrow (Brian) and Ashley Barrett (Fred). She is also survived by fifteen grandchildren; also many nieces and nephews.
