He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Herman and Elizabeth Herman (Harrod); his wife Ruth Hermann; his great grandchild Henry James Karas; and his siblings, Valdo, Bernard, Louis "Alley", Carl Herman and June Gardner.
He is survived by: his children, Neal Hermann (Pat), Lyle Hermann (Bonnie), Douglas Hermann (Jill) and Amy Gienau (Christopher); his grandchildren, Leanne Olshavsky (Nick), Kathryn Fischer (Chris), Danielle Kickbush (Mike), Christine Smith (Matt), Nicholas Hermann (Megan), Andrew Hermann (Danielle Hewitt), Olivia Karas (Seth), Trevor Gienau and Evan Gienau; and his great grandchildren, Emma, Lucas Olshavsky, Caden, Colton Fischer, Aydan Kickbush, Allie, Carsyn Smith, William, Jake Hermann, Levi Hermann and Drew Karas. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
