She was predeceased by: her parents, Mary Striano and Alfonso Striano; her husband Edward Staples; and her sister Lucille Thorp (Chickie). She is survived by: her children, Edward Staples, Jr. of Maybrook, Jerry Staples (Donna) of Maybrook, Thomas Staples (Kathy) of Middletown and Yvonne Goldman (Philip) of Mt. Hope. She is also survived by 10 loving grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
