She was predeceased by: her parents, Helene Cartmel and John Cartmel; her brother-in-law Efraim Mercado (Rose Ann); and her nieces and nephews, Adrienne Cirigliano, Sabrina Mercado (Michael Marescot), Shannon Pollack (Andrew) and Paul Mercado (Tiffany).
She is survived by: her husband Pedro J Mercado; her sister Pamela Cartmel Atacan (Fazil); her nephews, Thomas J Maher (Kristin) and Ryan A Maher (Meg); her great-nephew Thomas Patrick; her close friend Gerry; her sisters-in-law, Karen, Aida Stentella and Evelyn Raymond; and her nephews, Anthony, Robert Stentella (Melissa) and James Raymond.
