With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Douglas C. Spears (Massena, New York), born in Potsdam, New York, who passed away on November 30, 2023 at the age of 71. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis Roy and Beaulah Spears (Frank); his sister Nancy Bush; his nephew George Bush, Jr.; and his niece Rebecca Green.
He is survived by: his wife Cynthia A. Nugent; his son Jermey R. (Cassie Johnston); his grandchildren, Ian Michael and Parker Louise; and his siblings, Steven Spears of Potsdam and Barbara (Randy Sexton). He is also survived by 4 nephews.
In lieu of flowers, those wishing may consider memorial contributions to be made in his memory to Autism Awareness.
