She was predeceased by: her parents, Floyd Karns and Bertha Karns (Hanks); her son William Merrick (Bill); her grandsons, Benjamin and Matthew Passmore; and her siblings, Charles Karns, Ralph Karns, Leslie Karns, Geraldine Karns, Elsie Schoonover, Neva Kahler and Janet McDonald.
She is survived by: her sons, Norman Karns (Linda) of Corning, Richard Passmore (Maggie) of St. Paul, MN and Mark Passmore (Brenda) of Marion, NY. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren.
