He was predeceased by: his wife Jeanne Robertson Maher. He is survived by: his children, Mary Jane Higgins (Tim) of New York City and Tom (Nancy) of Asheville, NC; his grandchildren, Kerry Jeanne Higgins and William Robertson Higgins of New York City; his children, Colleen Maher Newman (Will) of Durham, N. C. and Peter William Maher of Washington, D. C; and his caregivers, Bozena Salikowska and Helen Grega.
