He was predeceased by: his parents, Edwin Carley and Rita Sorrell Carley; and his brother John. He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Hopkinson; his sons, Matthew Carley of Fredericksburg, VA, Marc Carley (Jodi) of Baxter, MN and Michael Carley (Crystal) of Powhatten, VA; his grandchildren, Madilyn Kerby (Kyle), Jacob Carley and Wesley Carley; and his siblings, Susan Marlow of Chateaugay, Catherine Lawless of Saranac Lake, Thomas Carley of Malone and Charles Carley of Falmouth, VA. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
