He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul A. Burgess and Edna F. Larouch Burgess; his wife Rose LaRocque; his son John Burgess, Jr.; and his siblings, Frank F., Paul E. Burgess, Dorothy Jeror-Staring, Elizabell Perry, Lillian Pritchard and Florence Russell.
He is survived by: his daughter Barbara; his son-in-law John Duchaine of Gansevoort, NY.; his adoptive son Daniel Snyder of Brushton, NY.; and his siblings, Joseph Burgess, Sr. of Syracuse, NY. and Gladys Jandrew of Malone, NY.. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
