He was predeceased by: his parents, Dorothy Harding Knap and Thomas Seymour Knap of Ogdensburg, NY.; his wife Betty Green Knap of Ogdensburg; and his sisters, Elizabeth Anne Knap, Susan Knap Manes and Jane Knap Gustafson.
He is survived by: his children, David Seymour Knap, Susan Knap Browning and Pattie Knap Rymer; his grandchildren, James Monosmith, Kimberly Browning and Allen Browning; and his great grandchildren, Penelope and Beckham.
