With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Aglae Washington Saitschenko (Lynbrook, New York), who passed away on December 15, 2023 at the age of 98. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Carmelia Washington and Juvenal Washington; and her siblings, Geraldo, Ivo, Lygia, Glaucia, Lys and Solon Washington.
She is survived by: her husband Switoslaw Stowbunenko-Saitschenko; her children, Lew, Kat Stowe, Marucia Rella, Marcus Saitschenko and Jim Goldstein; her grandchildren, Viraj, Daniel Stowe, Ana Stowe, Celina, Nate Barnet, Giovanni and Adriana Rella; and her great grandchildren, Julia, Alexi, Valerie Stowe and Noa Barnet. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, colleagues, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that anyone who wishes to assist with funeral expenses can make contributions through Venmo to @M-Rella or Zelle to @swito1 Additionally, the family plans to establish a Charitable Foundation in Aglaé's name to honor her lifetime of giving and helping others.
