She was predeceased by: her parents, Lorne Schmidt and Mary Schmidt (Spendler); her son Peter Kenneth Steckly; her brother Ralph Schmidt; and her brother-in-law Floyd Steinman.
She is survived by: her children, Brenda M. Finney (Daniel) of Adams, Paul E. Steckly (Sarah) of Mallorytown, Ontario, Mary K. Steckly (Tim Schrag) of Brockville, Ontario, Mark D. Steckly (Roxanne Lyndaker) of Lansing and Sharon A. Fredenburg (David) of Beaver Falls; her siblings, AnnaMae Kuepfer (Ivan), Ronald Schmidt (Elizabeth), Lloyd Schmidt (Sharon), Sharon Gerber (Joe) and David Schmidt (Norma); her sister-in-law Kathryn Schmidt; her brother Vernon Jantzi (Linda); and her sister-in-law AnnaMae Steinman. She is also survived by her 17 grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
