He was predeceased by: his siblings, Frank Strnad (late Florence), Stephen Strnad (Frances) and Alice Roorda (late Arthur); and his stepbrothers, Rudolph Obad (Helen), Leo "Skipper" Obad (Melody) and Louis Obad (Bernice).
He is survived by: his wife Sara Strnad; his children, Robyn Strnad-Nixon and John Strnad; his grandchildren, Marla and Evan Nixon; his sister Mary "Mitzi" Thompson (late James); and his stepsiblings, Julia Zagarino, Irene Warner, Stanley Obad (Ralph), George "Blackie" Obad (Jackie) and Charles Obad (Christine). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Parkinson's Foundation of WNY.
