He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Metcalf and Marguerite Metcalf; and his wife Lynn Metcalf. He is survived by: his children, Richard S. Metcalf (Lisa) of Hurley, Melanie Piotti (Brian) of Germantown and Christopher Metcalf (Amy) of Freehold; his pet Duke; his former spouse Rande Triulzi; and also Dorothy "Dee" McAndrew of Modena. He is also survived by five grandchildren.
