Derek P. Shocklee Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Derek P. Shocklee of Kingston, New York, born in Rhinebeck, New York, who passed away on January 18, 2024 at the age of 44. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Vincent L. Shocklee, Ruth T. Betzold, Thomas E. and Mary T. Molloy. He is survived by: his parents, Vincent L. Shocklee of Cairo and Patricia A. Molloy (Shocklee) of Coxsackie; his children, Sean and Sophia Shocklee; and his siblings, Shannon Shocklee (Jon Finger), Irene Shocklee, Colleen Schumacher (Matt), Rebecca Bell (Tom), Teresa Dowd (Darren) and Clayton Shocklee (Kayleigh). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

The family suggests donations in Derek's memory be made to his children's education fund, c/o Hudson Valley Credit Union, 1639 Ulster Ave. Kingston, NY 12401, in the name of Sean Vincent Shocklee to be added to a trust fund for the Shocklee children's educational fund.
