He is survived by: his wife Irene "Renee" Kafel; his children, Andrew Kafel (Ana Nowlan) of Ridgefield Park, NJ, Maria Ménoret (Antoine) of Canton, CT, Christopher Kafel (Kristina) of Fayetteville, NC, Brian Kafel (Amber Sloan) of Jersey City, NJ, Michelle Cintron (Jordan) of Hurley and David Kafel (Iliana) of Raleigh, NC; his grandchildren, Jonathan, Matthew, Raiden, Morrigan and Calista; his stepgrandchildren, Anna, Oscar, Eliud, Sandra, Carlos, Maël, Nathan and Pauline; and his stepgreat-grandchildren, Fernando and Syleena. He is also survived by his children and grandchildren.
