He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank W. Monte and Janet L. Monte of Accord, NY; and his siblings, Nicholas J. Monte, Nannette Liedtke of Accord and Dawn M. Brush of Accord.

He is survived by: his sisters, Catherine A. Shultis and Laurie J. Brooks; and his brothers-in-law, Robert Brush and Holger Liedtke. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
