Verna M. Gydesen Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Verna M. Gydesen (Ilion, New York), who passed away on May 28, 2022 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Harter and Lois Harter (Petrie); her son James R. Gydesen; and her siblings, William, Frank, John, Brian Harter, Dorothy, Mary and Sherry.
She is survived by: her daughter Janet Cerasi (Marco) of Ilion; her granddaughters, Lindsay Kaczor (Michael), Jamie, Brittany and Dani Cerasi; her sister Linda LaMarche (Andrew) of Plattsburg; her sister-in-law Nella Harter of Ilion; and her close friends, Kay Mazzara and Jean Warner. She is also survived by her many nieces, nephews, cousins.
Anyone planning on attending the visitation are asked to wear a mask, to protect the immediate family and others.
In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Pl, Memphis, TN 38105.
