It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard Clayton Turpin (Ilion, New York), born in Utica, New York, who passed away on November 6, 2022, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard Turpin and Marie Turpin (Villiere); and his stepson Mark Rakowski. He is survived by: his wife Jacqueline "Jackie" Gardner; his daughter Lisa (Todd Martin); his stepdaughter Denise Rakowski; his grandchildren, Mark, Ashley Martin, Payton Martin (Tate Chambers) and Makenzie "Mickadoodle" Martin; his sisters, Linda (Roger Bernhardt), Shirley (Doug Kreimeyer) and Diane (Joseph Jackson); his close friend Joanne Gorea; and his caregivers, Megan, Liz, Perez and Fredricka. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins.
