He is survived by: his wife Elaine Burgher; his son George Way Jr. (Christene) of Staatsburg; his grandchildren, Justin Way (Meagan), Courtney Way and Trevor Way; his great grandchild Hudson; his stepgrandchildren, Caitlin Clearwater-McGann and Brendan McGann; his pets, Dollyann and Jacob; and his sister Dorothy Hughes of Hyde Park, NY. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends.
