She was predeceased by: her parents, Francis Cortese and Marie Azzara Cortese; her husband Charles Maurice Gardner; her sister Carol Hart (Rick); and her siblings-in-law, Keith Maroney, Judy Conners and Bobbie Lofaro (Ralph).
She is survived by: her daughter Maria Gardner of Charlotte, NC; and her sisters, Josie Maroney of Hyde Park and Rose Pierson (John) of Mt. Airy, NC.. She is also survived by godchildren, many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
