He was predeceased by: his parents, William H. Sheldon and Alma Sheldon (Purcell); his wife Elizabeth Sheldon (Pizza); his sibling-in-law Chic Loomis; and his brothers, Roland and Jack.
He is survived by: his children, Kathleen Kulyniak (Michael) of Greenport and W. Gerald Sheldon, Jr. (Roxanne) of Hudson; his grandchildren, Kyle Sheldon (Shannon) of McKinleyville, Daryn Sheldon (Tammy) of West Seneca, NY and Travis Sheldon (Kerry) of Jeffersonville, Vermont; his great grandchildren, Christopher, Damien, Gracelynn, Anastasia, Victoria, Quinn, Declan and Maire; and his sister-in-law Hilda Pizza. He is also survived by 26 nieces and nephews.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff on Unit 1 at Ghent Rehabilitation and Nursing Home, and to Community Hospice of Columbia Greene, 47 Liberty Street Catskill, NY 12414 where memorial contributions can be made in Gerry's name.
