He was predeceased by: his parents, Rafael Acosta-Martinez and Gloria Acosta-Martinez. He is survived by: his wife Carmen Alicea; his children, John Martinez, David Martinez, Carmen Martinez, Lucas Martinez, Jesse Martinez, Timothy Martinez, Natalia Martinez, Andrew Martinez, Matthew Martinez and Rebekah Martinez; his granddaughter Christiana Martinez; and his sisters, Elsie and Awilda Acosta. He is also survived by many other family members and friends.
