He was predeceased by: his mother Penelope Sprague (McKeon). He is survived by: his father Walter J. Sprague Jr.; his brother Brian Sprague (Florence) of Hoosick Falls; his nieces and nephews, MacKenzie, Madison Sprague of Hoosick Falls, Michael Sprague of Hoosick Falls and Matthew Sprague (Allie) of Clarksville, TN; and his great-nieces, Addison, Calin Davendonis and Irv Cross.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Second Chance Animal Shelter or the Humane Society of your choice, through the Mahar Funeral Home, 43 Main Street who are handling the arrangements.

“We've known wally for many years. We have gotten closer to wally in the last two years, he did a lot of masonry work at our house. You could not find a more down to earth man in our village. As I drive by my house( 231 church st) or walk in our door you will see what wally left, amazing artwork with stone. We think of him each and every time.
