He was predeceased by: his parent Charles Merihew, Sr.; his daughter Stephanie Merihew Price; and his siblings, Charles Merihew and Elsa Heller. He is survived by: his parent Erma Stafford Merihew; his children, Sarah A. Merihew and Samuel C. Merihew, Jr.; his grandchildren, Abby Lain Alexander, Mariah Merihew and Mikayla Merihew; and his brother Roger Merihew (Kornelia) of Georgia.
