He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel West and Josephine West (Vallone); his wife Sybil West (Guenther); and his siblings, Ann Nesbitt, Frank West and Anthony "Bud" West.
He is survived by: his children, James West Jr. (Linda) of Fairport, Edward West (Dana) of Prescott, AZ and Patricia Zielinski (David) of Aliso Viejo, CA; his grandchildren, Jessica West, Edward West Jr., James "Trey" West III, Noelle Zielinski and Claire Zielinski; and his brothers-in-law, Francis "Fritz" Guenther, Michael Guenther (Rhonda) and Tom Guenther (Pat). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, neighbors, and friends.
