He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles D. Gay and Mildred Gay (Raynor); and his sisters, Marie Avery and Carol Wells. He is survived by: his wife Carolyn C. Arnow; his children, Sonya Furness (John) of Oriskany Falls, NY, Sherri Boyer (Eric) of East Herkimer, Scott Gay of Frankfort and Steven Gay (Lynnetta) of Herkimer; his grandchildren, Angela McMicken (Cameron), Kayla Smith (William), Jesica Gilbert (Josiah), Savana Gay, Sean Furness (Andrea), Thomas Furness (Raye), John Furness, Jr. (Cassandra) and Kurstin Gay (Maria); his great grandchildren, Sara McMicken, Ryan McMicken, Evann Smith, Wade Smith, Merritt Smith, Zaylyn Burks, Sean Furness Jr., Jane Furness and Baby Gilbert; his brother-in-law Jeffrey Arnow; his close friends, Willie, Jake and Snickers; and his daughter-in-law Lynnetta Gay. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
