He was predeceased by: his wife Angela Marie Rita Scorrano; his parents, Pietro Plati and Calabria (Italy); and his sisters, Catherine and Gilda.
He is survived by: his sons, David of Superior and Mark of New York City; his daughter-in-law Maryann; his grandchildren, Alice, Max, Claire, Camille and Nico; and his brothers, Peter and Anthony. He is also survived by six nieces and six nephews.
In lieu of flowers, contributions to fight childhood cancer can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
