It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Josephine P. Toland (Hammond, New York), born in Skagway, Alaska, who passed away on June 7, 2019, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her children, Sandra Ellen Crannell and Mark Thomas Toland; and her siblings, Melvin Shoemaker, Doris Smithson and Ruth Tompson.
She is survived by: her sons, James Elwin Toland of Hammond, NY and David Walter Toland of Hammond, NY; her grandchildren, Steven, Kevin, Kimberly, Christopher, Peggy Toland, Dennis and Gregory Hillier; and her husband Henry E. Toland. She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
